Living Well #6 - Tofu Scramble/Breakfast Burritos with Jeanne Wheaton, MS, RDN - S1E6
Join Jeanne Wheaton as she demonstrates making a Tofu Scramble for breakfast burritos. A great heart healthy alternative breakfast.
1 lb. Firm or Extra Firm Tofu
1/2 Cup Chopped Green Onions
1 Tablespoon Chicken-style seasoning
1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric
Salt to taste
Drain and mash tofu and mix with remaining ingredients. Sauté in
non-stick or sprayed skillet for about 15-20 minutes or until well
heated. Can also add favorite vegetables like green pepper, tomatoes or mushrooms. Great served in breakfast burritos or over whole-wheat toast topped with salsa.
